CLARINDA, Iowa- A peaceful protest will be held Wednesday evening in southwest Iowa. People are encouraged to join the peaceful protest for Black Lives Matter in Clarinda at 6:30 p.m.
Organizers say it will be on the lawn of the Page County Courthouse with multiple speakers and a march around the square of the courthouse.
Community activist Mariah McAlpin is hosting the peaceful event. People are encouraged to social distance if they attend. So far over 100 people on the event's Facebook have said they'll be attending.
